Jan. 12 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 3:09 p.m. New York time.
The Ipsa index gained 1 percent to 4,878.42.
Cencosud SA (CENCOSUD CC) increased 2.3 percent to 3,510.3 pesos. Chile’s largest retailer by market value plans to sell $750 million in 10-year bonds in international markets.
Laboratorios Andromaco SA (ANDROMAC CC) rose 2.6 percent to 279 pesos, the largest increase in five months. The Santiago-based pharmaceutical company is negotiating with pharmacy chains in the U.S. to sell its Hipoglos diaper rash products, Diario Financiero wrote.
Lan Airlines SA (LAN CC) increased 3.1 percent to 14,977 pesos, the most in three months. Latin America’s largest airline by market value was raised to “buy” at Deutsche Bank AG.
SACI Falabella (FALAB CC) rose 4.7 percent to 5,260.70 pesos. Chile’s largest retailer by market value announced yesterday a $3.51 billion investment plan for 2011-2015. The brokerage unit of Chile’s Banco de Credito e Inversiones and Brazil’s Banco BTG Pactual SA increased their price estimates for the stock after the news.
