Switzerland’s Lara Gut beat Lindsey Vonn of the U.S. by 0.53 seconds in today’s super-G race in Zauchensee, Austria to secure a first victory in more than two years.

The 19-year-old Gut clocked 1 minute, 12.82 seconds as she edged Vonn, the three-time defending World Cup overall ski champion. Vonn, 26, is currently second in the overall competition, behind Germany’s Maria Riesch, and leads the super-G through two races.

In Adelboden, Switzerland, Ivica Kostelic of Croatia won the men’s slalom ahead of Austrians Marcel Hirscher and Reinfried Herbst. Kostelic now leads the overall and slalom standings.
