The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 4:11 p.m. New York time.
The Lima General Index gained 0.3 percent to 23,252.57. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index dropped 0.1 percent to 3,257.70.
Mining companies declined after gold, silver, lead and tin dropped in New York and London, said Jean Paul Nolasco, a trader at Provalor SAB.
Cia. Minera Atacocha SA (ATACOBC1 PE), the Lima-based lead, silver and zinc miner, fell 1.9 percent to 1.55 soles. Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, dropped 1.5 percent to $48.28. Cia. Minera de San Ignacio de Morococha SA (MOROCOI1 PE), the Lima-based lead and zinc producer, fell 1.1 percent to 94 centimos.
Natural gas rose for a fourth session, pushing Maple Energy Plc. (MPLE PE), the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, higher. The shares gained 3.6 percent to $1.14.
