China to Collect Own Housing Price Data With Staff, Xinhua Says

Dec. 25 (Bloomberg) -- China’s National Bureau of Statistics will send officials to collect prices of second-hand homes to make data more accurate, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported, citing Ma Jiantang, head of the bureau.

To obtain prices of newly built houses, the bureau will use data from the local real estate administration offices, instead of reports from developers, it said.
