Dec. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Thailand’s SET Index advanced 6.68 points, or 0.7 percent, to 1,013.19 as of the 4:30 p.m. close in Bangkok, the first increase in five days.
Phol Dhanya (PHOL TB), a maker of workplace safety apparel and equipment, rose 2.1 percent to 4.9 baht. The company said it will pay a cash dividend of 0.15 baht per share.
PTT Pcl (PTT TB), Thailand’s largest energy company, gained 1.6 percent to 323 baht after crude oil futures rose 79 cents to settle at $88.81 a barrel in New York yesterday.
Thanachart Capital Pcl (TCAP TB), a financial company, rose 0.7 percent to 35.5 baht, the most since Dec. 2. The company had its rating raised to “outperform” from “neutral” at Kasikorn Securities Co. Ltd., which set a share-price target of 48 baht
