Parmalat CEO Bondi Seeks BofA Backing for Board, Messaggero Says

Dec. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Parmalat SpA Chief Executive Officer Enrico Bondi is seeking Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s support for renewal of the dairy company’s board, Il Messaggero reported, without saying how it got the information.

Bondi, who has been seen entering the U.S. bank’s Milan office over the last few days, may ask Bank of America to coordinate a group of investors aimed at supporting the board at the next shareholders’ meeting, the newspaper said.

Parmalat wasn’t immediately available for a comment.
