Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Argentina’s Economy Minister Amado Boudou will run for mayor of the city of Buenos Aires next year, newspaper Infobae reported.
Boudou’s candidacy will be announced on Dec. 21, the Buenos Aires-based newspaper said, citing Omar Viviani, head of the taxi drivers union, who met with Boudou last night.
An official at the Economy Ministry, who asked not to be identified due to internal policies, told Bloomberg News that some political and labor leaders want Boudou to run.
