French Stocks: Atos Origin, Nicox, Ipsen, Vivendi Shares Move

Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- France’s CAC 40 Index fell 0.6 percent to 3,880.19 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Paris, the first decline in three days. The SBF 120 Index slid 0.5 percent.

The following shares declined or advanced on the French equity market today.

Atos Origin SA (ATO FP), France’s second-biggest provider of computer services, surged 13 percent to 38.36 euros, the biggest gain since March 2007. Siemens AG will take a 15 percent stake in Atos Origin as part of a deal to sell its computer-services unit to the French company.

Compagnie des Alpes SA (CDA FP) dropped 1.7 percent to 23.44 euros. The French ski-resort operator said it’s in exclusive talks to sell seven leisure parks to H.I.G. Capital France and Laurent Bruloy.

Ipsen SA (IPN FP) slumped 5.4 percent to 22.30 euros after saying it will end development of an experimental medicine to treat two hormone-related illnesses.

Nicox SA (COX FP) rallied 7.1 percent to 2.40 euros as Societe Generale SA upgraded the shares to “buy” from “sell.”

Vivendi SA (VIV FP) gained 1.1 percent to 20.71 euros. The owner of the world’s largest music company will receive 1.25 billion euros ($1.7 billion) under an agreement that ends a dispute with Deutsche Telekom AG over the ownership of a Polish telecommunications group.
