Rousseff Seeks Market Economist for Central Bank, Estado Says

Dec. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Brazil President-elect Dilma Rousseff’s team wants to name an economist from the financial market for the central bank board, O Estado de S.Paulo newspaper reported, without saying how it obtained the information.

Rousseff’s transition team believes that picking someone from the market could counterbalance the fact that all central bank directors are career public servants and would also help the board better gauge investors’ viewpoints, Estado said.
