Dec. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Mexican business association Coparmex expects the government to approve an increase in the minimum wage for 2011 higher than next year’s expected rate of inflation, newspaper Excelsior reported, citing the group’s president Gerardo Gutierrez.

Mexico’s National Minimum Wage Commission usually announces the increase for the following year in December. Inflation will be 3.8 percent in 2011, according to a survey of economists released by the central bank on Dec. 1.
