European Coal Falls 0.2%, Retreats From Highest Close This Year

Dec. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Benchmark European coal derivatives retreated after closing yesterday at their highest for 2010.

Coal for delivery to Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Antwerp with settlement next year fell 25 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $111.75 a metric ton at 9:58 a.m. in London. The contract ended trade at $112 yesterday.
