Vattenfall Says Ringhals-1 Reactor in Sweden to Start Tomorrow

Vattenfall AB, the Nordic region’s largest utility, said its Ringhals-1 nuclear reactor will start tomorrow and reach full power on Dec. 9.

“Troubleshooting on the reactor system expected to be finished during the evening,” Vattenfall said today in a statement via the Nasdaq OMX Group Inc.’s commodity exchange.

E.ON AG, Germany’s biggest utility, owns a minority stake in the 855-megawatt unit, which shut on March 15 for yearly maintenance.
