Russian Fuel Oil Exports From St. Petersburg Rose 8% Last Month

Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Russian fuel oil exports from the St. Petersburg oil terminal rose 8.1 percent in November from the same month a year ago, a port official said.

Shipments rose to 803,000 metric tons last month from 743,000 tons in the year-earlier period, the official said by phone from St. Petersburg today, declining to be named because the information is not made public.

Russia is currently producing about 10 million barrels of crude a day, making it the world’s largest producer. Processing rates at Russian refineries have been up on the year-earlier period every month since February, according to the Federal Service of State Statistics.

Exports of the fuel, used by ships and power stations, are down from 895,000 tons in August. That month marked the highest level for 2010.
