Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Li Keqiang, the former Communist Party secretary of Liaoning province who is now the vice premier of China, said in 2007 that some of the nation’s local economic data is unreliable, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing a leaked diplomatic cable published by WikiLeaks.

At a dinner in Beijing with then-U.S. Ambassador Clark Randt Li said that when evaluating Liaoning’s economy, gross domestic product statistics were unreliable, according to the report.

China’s Foreign Ministry has said it won’t comment on diplomatic communications published by WikiLeaks, the Journal said. Story link: {NSN LD14BG6JIJVH<GO>}
