Brazil to Favor Local Companies in Public Auctions, Estado Says

Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will approve a change to rules of public auctions to benefit local companies, O Estado de S. Paulo reported, citing unidentified government officials.

Brazilian companies will be able to win contracts over foreign ones in the event of a draw, the newspaper said.
