Dec. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Joint ventures between OAO Gazprom, the world’s largest gas producer, and NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy are just at the “level of proposals,” said Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
“The process of creating these enterprises hasn’t passed legal or organizational stages,” Azarov said yesterday on the privately owned Inter TV channel. These proposals should be considered “in the context of all our relations in the gas sphere, gas supplies and gas transit,” Azarov said.
On Dec. 1, Gazprom said it agreed to form two joint ventures with Naftogaz to produce gas in Ukraine and to develop the offshore Pallas structure in the Black Sea.
