Dec. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC is shutting down a process unit for maintenance at its Cedar Bayou chemical plant in Baytown, Texas, according to a message recorded on a community hot line.
The maintenance will last through tomorrow and there could be “light to moderate” flaring associated with the work, the Woodlands, Texas-based company said in the recorded message.
The company is a joint venture of Chevron Corp. and ConocoPhillips. The Cedar Bayou plant is located about 32 miles (51 kilometers) east of Houston.
