Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) -- A UBS AG account holder won a Swiss court ruling blocking disclosure of her data to U.S. authorities, the Federal Administrative Court said today.
“The court reached the conclusion that no sufficient indication existed in this specific case that the complainant was ‘U.S. domiciled’ in the relevant period,” it said in an e-mailed statement today. The Bern court ruled on the case Nov. 30.
Switzerland agreed to disclose data on as many as 4,450 UBS accounts to the U.S. to settle a lawsuit over alleged tax evasion by some American clients of the Zurich-based bank.
