Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) -- A steam shortage at Huntsman Corp.’s Port Neches, Texas, chemical plant caused flaring from an ethylene unit, according to a filing with state regulators.
A compressor trip at 7 p.m. local time yesterday resulted in the steam shortage and flaring, the Salt Lake City-based company said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
The Huntsman Port Neches plant is 100 miles (161 kilometers) east of Houston.
