Benelux Stocks: Galapagos, TNT, D’Ieteren, Wereldhave Are Active

Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) -- The AEX-Index advanced 1.7 percent to 341.45 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Amsterdam for the biggest two-day gain since July. Belgium’s Bel20 Index added 2 percent to 2,617.2.

The following were among the most active stocks in Benelux markets today. Symbols are in parentheses.

Dutch stocks:

TNT NV (TNT NA) rallied 8 percent to 20.35 euros, the most in two years. TNT plans to separately list its express-delivery unit by “around June 1” and focus on regular mail delivery and markets abroad where it already has a presence.

Wereldhave NV (WHA NA) gained 3 percent to 71.37 euros, the most since June. The Dutch property investor with assets in the U.S. was raised to “buy” from “hold” at ING Groep NV.

Belgian stocks:

D’Ieteren SA (DIE BB) jumped 5.8 percent to 438.75 euros, the highest level since 1999. Belgium’s biggest automobile dealer sold 20 percent of November new-car registrations. Total registration for new vehicles increased 15 percent to 40,537, according to Febiac figures. D’Ieteren’s share of increased from 18 percent in November 2009.

Galapagos NV (GLPG BB) added 3.2 percent to 11.59 euros, its first gain this week. The Belgian drug developer completed the first in-human trial for its GLP0492 candidate drug for cachexia, loss of weight and muscle mass, and potentially other indications.
