Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) -- The following stocks may rise or fall in the Greek market today. Symbols are in parentheses after the company names and prices are from the previous close.
The benchmark ASE Index added 54.68, or 3.9 percent, to 1,474.35. The FTSE/ASE 20 Index of the country’s biggest companies advanced 4.8 percent to 703.59, while the Cypriot General Index gained 3 percent to 1,141.33.
Agricultural Bank of Greece (ATE GA): Greek Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou is looking at merging state-controlled Agricultural Bank of Greece, Hellenic Postbank SA (TT GA) and the Loans and Deposits Fund, Kathimerini reported, citing unidentified ministry sources. Agricultural Bank of Greece gained 3.1 percent to 67 cents. Hellenic Postbank rose 8.3 percent to 3 euros.
National Bank of Greece SA (ETE GA): Greece’s biggest lender said its Turkish unit, Finansbank AS, concluded an $800 million syndicated loan this week. The stock added 8.8 percent to 7.06 euros.
