Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Alfredo Aceves and Brett Gardner of the New York Yankees each will recover from offseason surgery in time for spring training, the New York Post reported.

Aceves, a 27-year-old right-handed pitcher, broke his left collarbone in a bicycle accident in his native Mexico and had surgery to repair the break on Nov. 30 at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He is expected to participate fully during the first pitchers-and-catchers workouts in February in Tampa, Florida, according to the Post.

Gardner, 27, will have surgery on his right wrist on Dec. 7. The outfielder missed two games in June because of a wrist bruise and later missed a four-game stretch in September due to wrist soreness.

Aceves missed most of the last Major League Baseball season with a back injury sustained on May 8. In 2009, Aceves was 10-1 with a 3.54 earned run average. Gardner hit .277 in 150 games last season and led the team with 47 stolen bases.
