Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Rwanda’s earnings from mineral exports will increase to $60 million this year, New Times reported, citing Michael Biryabarema, director general of the Rwanda Geology and Mines Authority.
The country exported minerals worth $54.6 million in 2009, the Kigali-based newspaper reported. The increase was driven by improved prices, New Times cited Biryabarema as saying.
