Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Deutsche Bahn AG may sell its German Arriva unit to Trenitalia SpA, Italy’s train operator, and the infrastructure fund Cube for more than 300 million euros ($393 million) next week, the Financial Times Deutschland reported, without citing anyone.
A rival offer, also exceeding 300 million euros, has been made by Veolia Environnement SA, partnered by the fund Antin, according to the report. Deutsche Bahn’s executive board may approve the sale to Trenitalia and Cube this week and the supervisory board may do so next week, the FTD said. Deutsche Bahn spokesman Achim Stauss declined to comment.
