Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 10:54 a.m. New York time.
The IGBC Index gained 1.4 percent to 15,149.93, while the Colcap Index added 1.3 percent to 1,802.70.
Cementos Argos SA (CEMARGOS CB), Colombia’s biggest cement maker and exporter, rose 1.6 percent to 11,560 pesos. Colombian measures to help stem gains by the peso “have worked,” President Juan Manuel Santos said. Colombia still has “measures” in its arsenal, he told coffee growers today in Bogota.
Ecopetrol SA (ECOPETL CB) rose 0.7 percent to 3,865 pesos, after rising as much as 2.3 percent. Colombia’s state-controlled oil company said initial drilling and testing on the Akacias-1 exploratory well has confirmed the presence of crude oil.
