Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Tom Enders, chief executive officer of Airbus SAS, the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer, comments on the euro and Europe’s debt crisis.

Enders spoke to reporters today in Brussels.

On the euro-area debt crisis:

“We are taking that as seriously as the governments obviously do in Europe.”

“I strongly believe that if the euro would collapse that would be detrimental not just to our industry but to many industries.”

On the euro’s exchange rate:

“We’ve always said that a euro-dollar exchange around $1.20 would be no reason to be concerned.”
