Canada Conservatives Keep Dauphin in By-Election, CPAC Projects

Nov. 29 (Bloomberg) -- The governing Conservative Party held on to the rural Manitoba constituency of Dauphin-Swan River-Marquette in one of three by-elections taking place tonight, the CPAC television channel projected.

Robert Sopuck, the Conservative candidate, had taken 58 percent of the vote with 150 of 226 polling stations reporting, according to results posted on the Elections Canada website.
