Nov. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Kapchorua Tea Co., a Kenyan producer of the leaves, said first-half profit doubled as sales increased.
Net income surged to 92.2 million shillings ($1.14 million) in the six months through September from 44.8 million shillings a year earlier, the company said in a statement distributed by the Nairobi Stock Exchange today. Sales climbed 41 percent to 604 million shillings, it said.
