Nov. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Imperial Oil Ltd. said operations are normal after flaring and venting steam at its Strathcona refinery in Edmonton, Alberta, since Nov. 26, according to a message left on a community hotline yesterday.
The refinery horn was sounded at about 3:25 p.m. local time to indicate a “sitewide all clear” from an earlier response, the company said on the recorded message left at 3:25 p.m. yesterday.
The Strathcona plant produces gasoline, diesel fuels, aviation fuels, propane, butane, lubricating oils, waxes, asphalt and heavy fuel oil, according to the company’s website. The refinery has a capacity of 187,000 barrels a day.
