Ghana Flood Victims Get Aid From World Food Programme, GNA Says

Victims of floods in Ghana started receiving relief aid, including food for 25,000 people, the Ghana News Agency reported, citing a statement from the United Nations’ World Food Programme.

Torrential rainfall in parts of the country and the spilling of excess water from the Bagre and Kompienga dams in neighboring Burkina Faso caused heavy flooding that affected more than 140,000 people, the Accra-based news agency reported yesterday.
