Nov. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Two people were killed when road tankers carrying fuel exploded in Iraq near the Jordanian border, according to Petra, Jordan’s state news agency.
An explosion, which occurred while fuel was being emptied, occurred at one fuel tanker, spreading fire to others nearby, Petra said, citing a General Security Directorate spokesman that it didn’t name.
Twelve people were hurt and an unspecified number were missing while 20 tankers and vehicles were damaged, according to the report. Crews are working to evacuate casualties, and an investigation will start to discover the cause of the incident.
