The Stoxx Europe 600 Index rose 0.3 percent to 267.42. The Stoxx 50 Index advanced 0.1 percent to 2,553.45. The Euro Stoxx 50 Index, a benchmark for nations using the euro, slipped 0.1 percent to 2,871.48.
Bigben Interactive (BIG FP): The maker of video games and accessories said revenue in the second quarter ended Sept. 30 rose 15 percent to 20.8 million euros ($29 million). Sales for the year should reach at least 100 million euros, with “good” Christmas sales expected this quarter, the company said. The stock rose 3.7 percent to 9.80 euros.
ECA (ECASA FP): The maker of defense equipment reported a 49 percent increase in third-quarter sales to 24.4 million euros and confirmed its targets for the year. The stock fell 0.5 percent to 14.40 euros.
Edison SpA (EDN IM): The country’s second-biggest power generator is scheduled to report third-quarter results. The shares gained 1.1 percent to 95.7 euro cents.
Faiveley Transport (LEY FP): The maker of railroad equipment reported fiscal second-quarter revenue rose 4.7 percent to 207.9 million euros. The company reiterated that sales this year will be stable, with a return to growth next year. The stock fell 1.4 percent to 63.50 euros.
Fonciere Volta (SPEL FP): The real estate company reported first-half net income of 3 million euros, compared with a loss of 1.7 million euros a year earlier. The stock fell 1 percent to 4.13 euros.
Imtech NV (IM NA): The largest Dutch technical-services company gives a trading update before the market opens. The shares advanced 0.9 percent to 24.53 euros.
Ion Beam Applications SA (IBAB BB): IBA Molecular, Ion Beam’s radiopharmaceuticals unit, won regulatory approval to start selling a kidney and urinary tract diagnostics kit in France. The shares lost 0.7 percent to 8.89 euros.
Luxottica Group SpA (LUX IM): The owner of Ray-Ban and Oakley sunglasses brands said it aims to raise net income 27 percent this year after demand in emerging markets and renewed interest in luxury eyewear boosted quarterly sales. The shares rose 2.2 percent to 21.36 euros.
Paref (PAR FP): The real estate investment company said it raised 4.58 million euros by selling 91,500 shares at 50 euros each in a private placement. The stock fell 3 percent to 47.50 euros.
Recordati SpA (REC IM): The country’s biggest publicly traded pharmaceutical company is scheduled to report third-quarter results. The shares fell 1 percent to 6.82 euros.
Royal KPN NV (KPN NA): The largest Dutch telephone company may say third-quarter profit excluding some items increased to 452 million euros ($631 million), according to the average of 16 analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg. The shares retreated 0.2 percent to 11.53 euros.
STEF-TFE (STF FP): The transporter of refrigerated goods said third-quarter sales rose 5.6 percent to 528.6 million euros. The stock was unchanged at 40 euros.
