Australia’s Wong Says Surplus Is Biggest Priority, Review Says

Sept. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Australian Finance Minister Penny Wong said that the government won’t negotiate on getting the budget back to surplus in 2012-2013, the Australian Financial Review said, citing the minister.

Wong and Treasurer Wayne Swan said returning the budget to surplus with a 2 percent spending cap is the government’s top priority, the newspaper reported.
