Aug. 25 (Bloomberg) -- HSBC Holdings Plc, Europe’s largest bank, hired JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Chetan Patni as head of execution and sales trading in India, and BNP Paribas’ Gerardo Pablo as head of program trading for the Asia-Pacific region.
Chetan, formerly an executive director at J.P.Morgan’s India unit, reports to Rakesh Patel, HSBC’s head of equity sales and trading for Asia-Pacific, according to a statement.
Pablo will report to Gavin Williamson, head of execution trading in Asia-Pacific, the statement said. Pablo was previously head of global portfolio trading at BNP Paribas.
HSBC also appointed Sung Choi as head of international equity sales to manage the distribution and sale of Korean equity products to institutional investors, according to the statement. Prior to joining HSBC, Choi was a vice president at Morgan Stanley.
