Arsenal’s Wilshere, Gibbs Named to England Squad to Face Hungary

Aug. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs were named to the England soccer squad for its Aug. 11 exhibition game against Hungary at Wembley Stadium.

Manager Fabio Capello selected only 10 players from the World Cup squad which lost in the round of 16 to Germany. Arsenal’s Theo Walcott and Manchester City’s Adam Johnson were recalled after being being released prior to the World Cup.

Fulham striker Bobby Zamora was also included in the squad for England’s only warmup match before the start of qualifying for the 2012 European Championships next month.

England squad for Hungary game:
     Goalkeepers: Ben Foster (Birmingham), Joe Hart (Manchester
City), Paul Robinson (Blackburn).
     Defenders: Wes Brown (Manchester United), Gary Cahill
