HSBC Holdings Plc said it hired Mark Johnson as global head of foreign-exchange cash trading.
Johnson will join on Aug. 9 in London from Johnson Stewart Partners where he was founding managing partner and chief investment officer, HSBC said in an e-mailed statement today. Previously he was a managing director at Deutsche Bank AG, HSBC said.
He will report to Frederic Boillereau, global head of foreign exchange and metals, HSBC said.
Johnson declined to comment on how the move would affect Johnson Stewart Partners when contacted by telephone at the company’s London offices today.
