May 10 (Bloomberg) -- The Orlando Magic defeated the Atlanta Hawks 98-84 to complete a four-game sweep of their National Basketball Association playoff series.
Vince Carter scored 22 points for the Magic, who opened an 11-point lead after one quarter at Philips Arena in Atlanta and cruised to another double-digit victory.
Orlando’s four wins in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal were by a total of 101 points.
The Magic will face the Cleveland Cavaliers or Boston Celtics for a spot in the NBA Finals. The Cavaliers and Celtics are tied at two games apiece with Game 5 tomorrow in Cleveland.
Jamal Crawford scored 18 points on 5-of-15 shooting for the Hawks, who have lost 15 straight conference semifinal games dating back to 1997.
The Los Angeles Lakers can complete a four-game sweep in their Western Conference second-round playoff series tonight as they visit the Utah Jazz.
