Australian Dollar Weakens as Stevens Seeks Durable Recovery

April 23 (Bloomberg) -- Australia’s dollar extended declines against the U.S. currency after central bank Governor Glenn Stevens said policy makers are focused on ensuring the nation’s economic rebound is durable.

The so-called Aussie fell to 92.47 U.S. cents as of 1:03 p.m. in Sydney from 92.56 cents before the Stevens spoke in Toowoomba, Queensland, and from 92.75 cents yesterday in New York.
