April 22 (Bloomberg) -- The Orlando Magic took a 2-0 lead and the San Antonio Spurs tied their series at one game each in the first round of the National Basketball Association playoffs.
The Magic defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 92-77 last night, while the Spurs beat the Dallas Mavericks 102-88.
At Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida, Vince Carter scored 19 points to lead all five Magic starters into double digits in scoring.
Stephen Jackson was high scorer with 27 points for the Bobcats in the second game of the best-of-seven series.
At American Airlines Center in Dallas, Tim Duncan had 25 points and 17 rebounds and Manu Ginobili added 23 points for the Spurs.
Jason Terry came off the bench to score 27 points and Dirk Nowitzki had 24 for the Mavericks.
