JCDecaux, Klepierre, Maurel, Scor, Viel: French Equity Preview

The following is a list of companies whose stocks may have unusual changes in Paris. Symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.

France’s CAC 40 Index fell 26.97, or 0.7 percent, to 4,026.97. The SBF 120 Index also lost 0.7 percent.

Bernard Loiseau SA (BLOI FP): The food and restaurant group said its full-year loss widened to 438,000 euros ($584,000) in 2009 from 235,000 euros a year earlier. The shares fell 1.8 percent to 6.14 euros.

European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co. (EAD FP): Chairman Bodo Uebber told Les Echos in an interview that the owner of planemaker Airbus SAS is hoping that airlines can restore profitability this year, while accepting that recovery in 2011 is a “realistic hypothesis.”

Separately, Korean Air Lines Co. said Airbus will push back its first delivery of an A380 superjumbo jet because of delays in manufacturing. Korean Air will get its first A380 in the second quarter of 2011, delayed from December this year, the Seoul-based carrier said in response to a MoneyToday report. EADS shares slipped 1 percent to 14.99 euros.

JCDecaux SA (DEC FP): The world’s second-biggest seller of outdoor advertising extended its street furniture and cycle hire contract in Valencia, Spain, for 20 years. The shares fell 0.6 percent to 21.22 euros.

Klepierre (LI FP): Europe’s second-largest shopping-center owner raised 900 million euros selling bonds. The shares fell 1.1 percent to 29.44 euros.

Etablissements Maurel & Prom SA (MAU FP): The oil explorer swung to a loss of 51 million euros for 2009 from a year-earlier profit of 63 million euros. The shares climbed 1.2 percent to 12.63 euros.

Sanofi-Aventis SA (SAN FP): France’s biggest drugmaker said it agreed to pay CureDM Group Holdings LLC as much as $335 million for a potential diabetes drug candidate that is scheduled to enter human tests this year. Shares rose 1.2 percent to 55.30 euros.

Scor SE (SCR FP): The company obtained a composite reinsurance license in China, enabling it to sell life and health reinsurance. The shares fell 0.7 percent to 18.73 euros.

Viel & Cie. (VIL FP): The brokerage will propose former Credit Agricole SA chief executive officer Georges Pauget as its chairman at the next board meeting. The shares fell 0.9 percent to 3.15 euros.
