New York City, despite the Wall Street crisis, comes out No. 1 and Washington, DC No. 2.
Why big cities? Florida says that a “thick” job market is key, but not the only key. A “thick” social meeting market is key as well. Meeting friends and networking is essential to getting jobs today, especially for Gen Yers. It’s all about economic sociology.
And mating too, of course.
