The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University accepted 30% of the 1,331 people who applied to its MBA program in 2006. If you'd like to be among the next batch of accepted students at Tepper, then you don't want to miss our next live chat event on Tuesday, Mar. 25, at 1 p.m. ET. Our guest will be Laurie Stewart, executive director for master's admissions. She'll answer your questions about everything from how to write a great essay to how much work you can expect during the first semester.
Meanwhile, if you're interested in earning your MBA in Europe, then you might be considering London Business School, which offers one of the top programs on the other side of the Atlantic. To get an edge on the competition, you won't want to miss the live chat event on Monday, Mar. 31, at noon ET. David Simpson, acting associate dean for the full-time MBA program at LBS, will answer your questions about the application process.
Your host for both events will be Francesca Di Meglio (FrancescaBW), BusinessWeek.com's business schools community manager and reporter.
To participate in a chat, you should head to the B-Schools homepage about 10 minutes before the scheduled event. There, you'll find a promo for the chat. Click on it until you reach the chat auditorium, where you'll be able to ask questions and view our guest's responses. You'll be prompted to register with the site if you haven't done so already. It's free and should only take a few minutes.
Hope to see you there!
If you can't attend a live event, you can e-mail Francesca Di Meglio questions for the guest in advance, and she'll try to pose as many as she can. Please use the subject line "Tepper Chat" or "LBS Chat." Or, you may simply read the transcripts we post afterward.
