Maybe I missed it last night? But I don't see much discussion online of the story about EMI considering licensing its songs for sale without DRM. Frankly, I am little confused about why this isn't generating much commotion online. Jobs does a music manifesto, but when it comes to a company actually mulling it over, as the NYTimes reports, it doesn't get much buzz.
Some folks are speculating that this is a response to Jobs. Maybe, but it seems just at likely, given how long these things are in the pipeline, that Jobs could have done his manifesto to get ahead of the proposal and seem like a savior.
