The organiser of the 2012 Olympic Games in London has picked Accenture to run the event's back-office systems.
The London Games Organising Committee said it received a number of "high quality" responses to its pre-qualification questionnaire issued in early September, which resulted in a shortlist of four.
The London 2012 integrated back office systems will support the London 2012 Games planning across areas including finance and accounting, human resources and procurement. The committee would not comment on the value of the deal.
But this contract will not cover the core games management systems that relay results, events and athlete information to spectators and media around the world.
These IT systems are provided by Atos Origin, the worldwide IT partner for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games for London 2012.
As the lead IT system integrator Atos Origin is responsible for the design, build and operation of the games' IT infrastructure.
