Freeport McMoRan (FCX) posted $1.74 vs. $0.91 second quarter EPS on a 58% revenue rise.
TD Ameritrade (AMTD) posted 23 cents vs. 20 cents fiscal third quarter EPS on sharply higher revenue. The company tightened its fiscal 2006 EPS guidance to 94 cents to $1.00, or 87 cents to 93 cents excluding a one-time gain. It raised its fiscal 2007 EPS projection to 99 cents to $1.21.
Forest Labs (FRX) posted 62 cents (including licensing and stock option expense) vs. 62 cents fiscal first quarter EPS on a 15% revenue rise. Forest raised its fiscal 2007 EPS guidance to $2.45-$2.50 from $2.37-$2.42.
Wells Fargo (WFC) posted $1.23 vs. $1.12 second quarter EPS on a 12% revenue rise.
Hunt (J.B.) (JBHT) posted 36 cents vs. 33 cents second quarter EPS on a 10% revenue rise.
WR Hambrecht downgraded Rambus (RMBS) to hold from buy after a judge in the company's patent infringement suit against Hynix cut Rambus's damage award from $306 million to $133 million. Rambus was unavailable for comment.
Actions Semiconductor (ACTS) posts 21 cents vs. 22 cents second quarter earnings per ADS despite a 5.9% revenue rise. Second quarter EPADS are better than expected. The company sees third quarter revenue of $43 million to $46 million and EPADS of 21 cents to 24 cents.
Constellation Brands (STZ) and Grupo Modelo S. A. de C. V. are to create a joint venture for the purpose of importing and marketing Modelo's Mexican beer portfolio in the U.S. and Guam for a 10-yr period, effective 1/2/07.
