William Blair raises its estimates on CarMax (KMX), noting the company's first quarter earnings per share (EPS.)

Analyst Sharon Zackfia says CarMax is in a very unconsolidated retail space which is increasingly rare to find these days. She says the company offers a consumer proposition no one is able to emulate better. She raises her $1.38 fiscal year 2007 (ending February) EPS estimate to $1.55 and her $1.66 fiscal year 2008 estimate to $1.85. Her rating on the stock remains at outperform.
