A collegue from Platts (an energy information service that like BW is owned by McGraw-Hill) points out that Forrester is (sort of) doing open source research on corporate blogging.
Forrester is asking people for their recommendations of corporate blogging software and services. Of course the kicker is they're planning to add this to their own proprietary research and combine the two to sell to their customers.
It's having some success. Forrester is getting some indepth responses about software and services including Bryght and JotSpot. And maybe more importantly, the commenters are detailing which aspects of software and services they need.
