Happy New Year. Now Let Me Apologize.

There was a backlog of unposted comments this morning because a certain technological genius (that would be me) was not able to remotely access this blog while away for the New Year’s weekend.

This is an issue, because the BusinessWeek Web site and the Business Week intranet operates behind a firewall. Those who write blogs here need to approve comments (via the intranet) before they can be posted.

Sorry to those whose responses to the newspapers thread had to wait many hours to see the light of (Tues)day. ‘Twas nobody’s fault but mine. In similar situations in the future I’ll leave notice that comments may not show up on the blog right away.

And thanks for the smart comments sent here—and elsewhere on this blog—over the long weekend.
