Says Scott Gatz, Yahoo's RSS guru: "It's about getting RSS into the hands of people the way they want to use it." It's another step that's bound to do away with the technical geeky hurdles that still go along with using the technology.
It's a smart move, considering Yahoo's desire to push--and be in the middle of--the adoption of RSS. Yahoo knows that it needs to make using RSS as easy as possible--and much simpler than it is today.
By making RSS part of its web-based email and crafting the service so that it's a snap to sign up for and read feeds, Yahoo is making big strides in helping overcome any hesitations people might have about using the technology.
