“We tried a little pilot course early last year on design for autistic children. We got some students in that course who had an autistic brother, as well as parents with autistic children — who said they’d spend all day and all night to design the things they’d want in a home for an autistic child. When you start to think about it, there are so many opportunities to be creative and thoughtful and do things that are economically sustainable and work well.”
